- 1 cup lukewarm water

- ¾ tsp active dry yeast
- 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
Directions
- In a large mixing bowl, blend the flour and salt. Set aside.
- In another bowl, dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water and stir in olive oil.
- Gradually pour the liquid into the flour mixture and begin kneading by hand until a rough dough forms—this takes about 3–4 minutes. Let the dough rest for 15 minutes.
- Knead again for 3 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.
- Divide into two equal portions and roll each into a ball. Set them on a well-floured surface, then cover with a damp towel.
- Allow the dough to rise at room temperature for 3 to 4 hours.
